DimoS thanks for your comment. Yes, I think the same, it's a great NA engine!
Tip: I own a 7th Gen GT TRD. Same colour Thunder Grey. Water can and does after time leak into the rear boot (trunk) area and back seats. The usual culprit for this is the small quarter light windows and/or the roof gutter trims (think black strips). Remove interior panels and where the rear quarter window is apply silicone seal where the body panels are spot welded together. Same with the roof trims. Carefully remove and check for any rusting, repair and silicone seal. It may also pay to silicone seal around the lights on the inside of the trunk. 2ZZ engine can and does leak from the timing cover gasket. NB: There are 5 areas where RTV paste is to be applied before bolting up the timing chain cover. Change VVTLi lift bolts, clean out VVT and VVTLi filters/OCVs. The car loves DENSO IK20TT spark plugs (0,4mm gap). Use only Denso or NGK. The VVT gear can rattle for a couple of seconds upon cold engine start up. If removing the timing cover, if affordable change out not just the chain and sprockets, but the VVT gear (on the intake cam). These VVTLi engines require regular oil changes (3K to 5K) with a good synthetic oil. 5"W 30 or 5W 40. Keep standard air filter unless going CAI (Cold Air Intake) route. Clean MAF sensor (located before thottle body). Use electrical contact cleaner only. Clean throttle body with carb cleaner. Check outer and inner sills for corrosion. Also check fuel filler pipe where it connects to fuel tank for any leakages. Standard OEM shocks are KYB Excel G. If requiring springs, Eibach Pro are very good and Apex. Some people obviously fit coil overs but many complain of a harsh ride. Flush out heater core radiator as after time they can and do clog up. Only use Toyota "Red/Pink" coolant. These cars cannot have the standard ECU tuned. You need to source after market ECU if wishing to tune car. Use a good wax oil for inside sills etc. Helps fight future corrosion.

Interesante, no sabia como se sacaba esa medida. En JD es juego axial con un par de apriete determinado. Pero claro eso se pone a 2200, esto a 9000…
Aquí medimos "el espacio" que va a rellenar el aceite entre los semicojinetes y el cigüeñal. De esta forma en estos motores podemos elegir el juego de tapetes más correcto, ya que hay muchas medidas. El juego axial lo medimos con el comparador, pudiendo ajustarlo mediante las semilunas que lleva el cigueñal en medio. 😉

@seblecrab en este caso usamos los de la marca strongflex. Però tambien solemos usar los de la marca Powerflex. Cualquiera de ellos son de buena calidad. Un saludo.

@@seblecrab a nosotros personalmente nos gusta mas powerflex por su calidad y garantia de por vida. Aunque strongflex tambien son buenos, y tienen un catalogo de vehículos mucho más grande. Aunque con cualquiera de los dos notoras una gran mejoria.

Hi @robertpearce5553, thanks for watching. The engine is different, but another important change is the gearbox ratio. If I where you I'm driving some time with stock 1ZZ, and If you need some power you know that you can swap at 2ZZ.

The 2zzge is far more robust and relibale than 1zzfe also have another +50hp after 6.200rpm-8.350rpm.
How the hell did you unscrew the lower bolt on the back of the intake pipe without taking the whole engine apart?

The were many stages missed in this if only it was this easy! There are two bolts at the back and you need to loosen the pipe clamp it does not just pull out there is also another tube connected under it.

Was it a 3d printed part? Can you tell me the sizes of the part?
The printed part are only to check the clearance, then we make the finally part with 7075 aluminium.

El coche tiene 261 CV (192 kW) y 360 Nm declarados por Toyota. El fabricante de la centralita indica que con la instalación del RACECHIP GTS Black quedaria con 291 CV (214 kW) y 433 Nm, obteniendo una ganancia de +30 CV (+22 kW) y +73 Nm. Esto faltaría comprobar-lo en el banco de potencia, pero al ser 4x4 no hemos podido verificar dicha mejora. No obstante, el cliente dice que se nota bastante.

solenoid remains permanently disconnected? do you have an engine fault then?
Hi Lkr, thanks for your commend. The procedure requires to remove the solenoid. The MIL fault doesn't appear on the dashboard, but we didn't connected the OBD reader.

Just got this exhaust on and it sounds amazing! At first the drone was a bit bad, but even after just 50 miles it quieted down quite a bit, and now it is just a nice light hum on the highway, and the car sounds spectacular on throttle. Fitment was pretty good, requires some longer M8 bolts to fit to the factory hanger, but otherwise it bolted right up, and was perfectly aligned in the middle with no trouble. Far easier to install than the factory was to remove. Welds all looked high quality. 10/10 would recommend for the price.

@@patricwell8335 thanks for watching. You only have to remove the cover if you need to install our oil pump tensioner kit. Because you need to drill the engine block for install the tensioner.

Hola Bruno gracias por tu comentario. Lo que es de carbono efectivamente es la caja del filtro de aire, el colector de admisión és el oem. Nosotros realizamos la medición en banco del celica antes de desmontar el motor y despues ya instalado en el mr2 con la mejoras y el motor reconstruido.
